It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Christena "Tena" Catherine (MacDonald) Nock of Kewstoke, Inverness Co., (Whycocomagh) on Monday, December 3, 2012, at the age of 59, in Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck. She was the daughter of Carmeline (Bates) MacDonald and the late Duncan MacDonald. Besides her mother, she has left to mourn her husband and best friend of 41 years Alexander "Sandy" Nock, her three sons who she loved dearly, Edward (Shelly), Osgoode, ON; Ron (Helen), Calgary, AB; and Dennis (Jenna), Calgary, AB; her grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Dylan, Brody, Mackenzie and Connor. She also leaves behind siblings, Mabel (Francis) MacGillivray, John Blaise MacDonald, Patricia (Bernie) MacDonald and Ellen (Kevin) Goswell and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Duncan and brother, Edward. Nothing gave Tena greater pleasure than being surrounded by family and friends. Her guests never left without a good cup of tea and some of her delicious cooking which was always served with great conversation and love. We are all the better for having had her in our lives...a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and wonderful nana! We love and miss you! Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Thursday, December 6, in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh. Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 7, from Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Whycocomagh, with Father Robert McNeil officiating. Burial will follow in Stewartdale Cemetery.
