MacKenzie, Allan Malcolm - 74, River Denys, died Sunday, June 13, 2004, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in River Denys, he was a son of the late John D. and Willena (MacLean) MacKenzie. He was a retired truck driver employed by Georgia Pacific Corporation, Big Brook. He was a member of Forbes United Church, River Denys. He is survived by daughter, Heather (David) Richardson, River Denys; sons, Kenneth and Glen, both of River Denys; granddaughter, Allana Richardson. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Nellie MacLeod; brother, Alex; infant son, John Alexander. No visitation by request. Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, June 18, in Forbes United Church, Rev. Aaron Billard officiating. Burial in Fir Grove Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Allan may be made to Forbes United Church or a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
