SKINNER, Chester R. - 74, Toronto, formerly of Sunnyville, born December 19, 1929, died June 5, 2004. Chester died peacefully in his home after a lengthy battle with cancer. He is survived by daughter, Sharon Blackstock (Matt); son, Chester Skinner (Caroline); daughter, Sheri McDonald; grandchildren, William (Ashley), Lauren, Ashley, Christine, Michelle, MacKenzie, Mattea; one great-grandchild to be; sisters, Hattie Ashe (Charlie), Monastery; Elizabeth Borden, Halifax; Dorothy Skinner, Toronto; Maude MacLean, New Glasgow; Pearl Skinner, New York; Rita Ash (Bill), Ella Skinner, both of Antigonish; brother, Thomas (Shirley), Boylston. He was predeceased by brothers, Norman, Wilfred, John; grandson, Ryan Blackstock. Visitation will be at the family residence in Sunnyville after 7 p.m. this evening. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday in Sunnyville United Baptist Church, Rev. Pauline Coffin officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
