LeLACHEUR, Irvine Grant — 81, Fletchers Lake, formerly of Port Hawkesbury, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2010. Born in Port Hawkesbury, he was a son of the late Clarence W. and Margaret (Butler) LeLacheur.
Irvine was a retired carpenter and a retired employee of the former Port Hawkesbury Heavy Water Plant. He was a member of Solomon Lodge No. 46 and a member of St. Mark's United Church, Port Hawkesbury. Irvine is survived by daughters, Helen (John) Garneau, Fletchers Lake; Margaret (Rod) Walsh, Westphal; daughter-in-law, Sheryl LeLacheur, Saskatoon, Sask.; grandchildren, Denise Halliday, Natalie Garneau, Melissa (James) Woods and Nathan (Debbie) Walsh; great-grandchildren, Malcolm, Robert, Morgan and Zachary; brother, Ernest (Ruth) LeLacheur, Dartmouth; sister, Shirley Copeland, Hamilton, Ont. He was predeceased by wife, Rachel (Ross); sons, Walter and Raymond "Sandy". Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Friday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Mark's United Church, Port Hawkesbury, with Rev. Sheldon LeGrow officiating. Burial in Southbrook Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Irvine may be made to St. Mark's United Church, Port Hawkesbury, St. John's United Church, Fall River or charity of your choice.
