McNAMARA, Herman- 87, Port Hawkesbury passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015, in the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home. Born in Point Tupper, Richmond Co., he was a son of the late Edward and Minnie Mae (Kelly) McNamara. Herman was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Port Hawkesbury. He worked at the Heavy Water Plant, Point Tupper. Surviving are his sisters, Marie MacDonald, Brantford Ont; Evelyn MacInnis, Dartmouth; sister-in-law, Audrey McNamara, Port Hawkesbury; as well as several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Captain Carl, Harry, Clement, Hilton, Otto, Harold, Edward; sisters, Ann Spacer, Eunice MacNeil. There will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury with Father Conrad Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
