MacRURY, Sadie Maxie – 85, Whycocomagh, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014, in the Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck. Born in Siouix Lookout, Ontario, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Katherine Ann (MacDonald) Ross. Sadie was a member of Stewart United Church, Whycocomagh and member of the Bayview Senior Citizen’s Club. She was a lifetime member of the U.C.W. Sadie always looked forward to and enjoyed her weekly outing at the Senior’s Club, playing cards and catching up on all the news. Surviving are her sister, Faye Rouse, Whycocomagh; 2 granddaughters; 3 grandsons; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, as well as several special friends that she always kept in contact with. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald; daughter, Roberta; brother, Gordon MacLeod. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Thursday, March 27, in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 28, from Stewart United Church, Whycocomagh, with Rev. Chris Matheson officiating. Burial in Stewartdale Cemetery at a later date.
