MacInnis, Donald Archibald "Archie"- 79, Port Hawkesbury. Passed away Friday, February 25, 2011 in R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish. Born in Creignish Rear, Inv. Co.; he was a son of the late Hugh J. and Sarah (MacDonald) MacInnis. Archie was a member of Stella Maris Parish, Creignish. He was married to the former Beatrice MacNeil, Point Tupper. Archie is survived by sons, Archie (Debbie), Donnie (Shelly), Howard all of Port Hawkesbury, Alvin, Edmonton, Alberta; daughters, Peggy, Halifax; Patsy, Port Hawkesbury; brothers, Francis (June), Port Hawkesbury; Lawrence (Lola), Halifax; sister, Margaret (Bill) Oxby, Berwick; 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren also many nieces and nephews. Archie was predeceased by brothers, Angus, Dan Joe and Leo; sisters, Marie, Mary Kate, Agnes, Mary Ann, Kaye and Theresa . Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Creignish with Fr. Hughie D. Mac Donald officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date.
