Born in Antigonish, June 17, 1950 he was a son of the late Allan D. and Levina (Johnson) MacQuarrie, (Port Hawkesbury). Tommy was a devout member of St. Joseph Parish, Port Hawkesbury.
He worked most of his life as assistant manager at The CO-OP Building Supplies, Port Hawkesbury. Later in life Tommy returned to school and was proud to earn a diploma in Addictions Counselling. He loved sharing his life stories and gave generously of his time. Tommy loved speaking at meetings and events throughout the Island and across the highway with the Twelve Step Program. He was a great friend to all, especially anyone in need. Those who knew him, will remember him for his wonderful sense of humour, and wit. Tom was always on the road, and really enjoyed his Tim's cup and his company along the way.
Tommy is survived by daughters, Dana (Marius) Zorogole, Halifax; Tanya (John) Facey, Waterloo, ON; son, Travis (Karen), Fort Good Hope, NWT.
