Myers, Willard Allan - 85, Boylston, Guysborough County, passed peacefully away, Sunday, May 23, 2010 in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in Manchester, Guys. Co., on December 13, 1924, he was a son of the late Ernest and Myrtle (MacPherson) Myers. Willard was a retired construction worker, having worked for Weeks Construction, New Glasgow. He was a member of the Bayview Seniors Club; he loved gardening and enjoyed walking in the woods. He was a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Boylston. Willard is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Naomi (Welsh), daughters, Myrtle Myers, Ottawa, Ont.; Faye (Jeffrey) Shea, Lesterdale; Judy (Clayton) Richard and Jane (Leonard) MacDonald, both of Halifax; sons, David Steep Creek and Elliott, Boylston; sister-in-law, Kaye Myers, Antigonish; brother, Ray (Jean), Halifax. Also leaving to mourn are grandchildren, Alysha Myers, Jenna Shea and Carter MacDonald. He was predeceased by his brother, Chester and daughter-in-law, Maureen (MacLellan) Myers. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral service 11 a.m., Wednesday in Wesley United Church, Guysborough, with Rev. Darroch Fagan officiating. Family flowers only please. A private burial will take place at a later date. A reception will follow in the Bayview Seniors Club, Boylston.
