Murray, Gwendolyn Jean -81, Mulgrave, died Friday, March 26, 2010 in Guysborough Memorial Hospital, Guysborough. Born in Port Hawkesbury, she was a daughter of the late Charles Raymond and Eva Maude (Wheaton) Warner. Jean was a caring homemaker and a lifelong member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Mulgrave, taught Sunday school, and a member of A.C.W. Jean loved going to bingo with her girls. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Everyone was warmly welcomed with humour, wit and kindness into her home. She is survived by daughters, Lynda (Don) Carter, Port Hawkesbury; Mitzie (Wayne) Wyre, West Bay Road; Carla (Placide) Chaisson, Truro; Doreen (Harris) McNamara, Havre Boucher; Valerie (Mark) Rose, Frankfurt, Ont.; son, Ervin (Bernadette), Guysborough Intervale; adopted son, John (Ada) Durant, Hamilton, Ont.; sisters, Anne Hendsbee, Sand Point; June Cunningham, Ottawa, Ont.; Eva(Mario) Riato, Weston, Ont.; Rowena (Lloyd) Hadley, Hadleyville; Sophronia (Pat) Fillier, Toronto, Ont.; and Nina Goodwin, Hamilton, Ont.; ;brothers, Edward, (Ruth) Warner, Mulgrave and James Jamieson, St. Catherine's, Ont.; grandchildren, J.D. (Katherine) , Jeana (Wally), April, Joseph, Lindsay (Garrett), Ryan (Callie), Meaghan, Heather, Drew, Jonathan, Austin; great-grandchildren, Emma, Gracie and Kayden. She was predeceased by her husband, John I."Trapper" and brother, Leroy. Thanks to the caregivers at the Milford Haven Home for Special Care who faithfully looked after Jean. She considered them part of her extended family. In addition, thank you to Guysborough Memorial Hospital staff, nurses, Dr. Bell, Dr. Ranjini, and Dr. Foley for their excellent medical care and support of our mother. Visitation will be held from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 31st in Mulgrave and Area Resting Place. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 1, in St. Lawrence Church, Mulgrave, with Rev. Dennis Hayward officiating. Burial in Saint Andrew's Cemetery, Mulgrave. A reception will be held at Mulgrave Fire Hall. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Jean may be made to St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Mulgrave, Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough or Mulgrave and Area Resting Place.
