Torrey, Evelyn "Eileen" - Age 82 of Boylston, Guysborough Co. It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister and friend on Sunday, October 18, 2015 in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Eileen was born in Glenkeen, Guys. Co. on January 15, 1933. She was the eldest daughter of the late Will and May (Dickie) Grant of Glenkeen (Manchester). Respected and loved by many Eileen worked as a clerk at Hart`s Store, Boylston. She was predeceased by her parents, 1st husband, Harvey and infant daughter, Linda; 2nd husband, Eugene "Bun"; as well as nephews, Bill Taylor and Ozzie Torrey. She is survived by her children, son, David (Sue), Lakeview (HRM); daughter, Ruby (Ron), Lr. Sackville; her grandchildren, Teddy (Selena and her children), Ryan, Andrew and Katie and her chosen son, Ronnie Worth. She is also survived by her sisters, Betty (Tony), Timberlea; Edith (Rick), Glenkeen; Beatrice (Harold), East Tracadie; brothers, Frank (Dorothy), Brierly Brook; Donnie (Margie), Clydesdale; sisters-in-law, Neta and Carol, as well as many nieces and nephews, and a true and special friend, Audrey Macpherson. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2015 in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015 in Boylston United Church with Rev. Warren Fitzgerald officiating. Burial in the Baptist Cemetery, Boylston beside her mother and father to follow. Special thanks to doctors, nurses, staff at Guysborough Memorial Hospital and home support staff.
