Please share a memory of Gerald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
SPARROW, Gerald Francis -50, Evanston. It is with great sadness that I announce the sudden passing of my beloved husband, Gerald Francis Sparrow on Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Gerry was a wonderful husband, father, son and friend. Gerry grew up in Glace Bay, the son of Loretta and the late Joseph Sparrow and resided in Evanston, Richmond Co.
Gerry is survived by his wife, Denise (Gillis); his little pal, "Dash"; daughter, Nicole; son, Justin. He is also survived by his mother, Loretta; brothers, Cecil, Maney, Joey (Donna), Kelly (Iris), Colin (Bonnie); sisters, Starla (Cecil) MacQueen, Joanne (Fabian) Lahey and Doreen. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph; sister, Noreen in infancy; grandparents, Joseph and Helen Deveaux and Dr. Cecil John and Helen Sparrow.
Also surviving are his in-laws, Mother and father in-law, Peggy and Roddie Gillis; sisters-in-law, Juanita (Glen) Musgrave, Heather (Kevin) Halloran, Cathy (Adam) Kennedy; brothers-in-law, Jason (Kathleen) Gillis and Glen (Kelly) Gillis.
Gerry will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Gerry was an avid sports fan and he especially loved the "Boston Bruins" and could be found in his favourite chair watching the game with Dash.
There will be no service or visitation as per Gerry’s wishes. Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are under the care of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
