Pelley, Helen Beatrice – 94, Tompkinville Road, Guysborough, died Friday, January 25, 2013 in Guysborough Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Guysborough she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Charlotte (Pelley) Mansfield.
Surviving are her brothers, Joseph, Sunnyville and Raymond, Lower Sackville. Surviving are her sons, Ambrose, Bernard, George, Frank and Roger; daughters, Hanna, Evelyn, Rita, Lois and Brenda; grandsons, Ralph, Duane and David. Numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great- great- grandchildren.
Predeceased by her husband, Murray; brothers, Walter and George; sisters, Sophie and Gladys; her sons, Richard and Ralph and grandson, Robert.
Helen was a devoted and loving mother. She will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, her compassion and caring for others. She will be fondly remembered by all and greatly missed.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough.
A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, January 30 at 2 p.m. in Wesley United Church, Guysborough with Rev. Heather Manuel officiating. Burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
The family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation for the exceptional care provided by the staff at Guysborough Memorial Hospital.
