Pelrine, Joseph Michael “Joe” - 77, Port Hawkesbury, died Thursday, April 22, 2010 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Havre Boucher, Antigonish Co., he was a son of the late Ernest and Suzanne (Richards) Pelrine. Joe was a member of the Armed Forces for many years, working in various trades, including being a U.N. Peacekeeper. He was an ordinary member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 43, Port Hawkesbury. He was a retired truck driver for Imperial Oil. Joe was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish, Port Hawkesbury. He is survived by his wife, Joan (Sponagle), daughters, Sandra, Ontario; Kimberley (Thane Sherrington), Antigonish; Pamela (Robert Paddock), Dartmouth; sons, Paul (Shelley), Dartmouth and Daniel (Amanda), Port Hawkesbury, brother, Benjamin , Havre Boucher, grandchildren, Nicole, Kyle, Riley, Andrew and Dalton. He was predeceased by brothers, Ambrose, Billy and Jerome. Visitation will be Sunday, April 25, from 2-9 p.m. with vigil service at 2 p.m. and a Legion service at 7 p.m., in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Monday, April 26, in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury, with Father Andrew Boyd officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
