PARDOE, Lawrence Alexander - 65, Bucklaw, died Saturday, April 2, 2005, in Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck. He was a son of the late John and Rosa (Blewer) Pardoe. Lawrence was a retired mechanic and an adherent of Little Narrows Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Hilda Garland; son, John Alexander, Bucklaw; stepsons, Ian (Sylvia) Nicholson, Baddeck; Monty (Brenda) Nicholson, Baddeck; sisters, Audrey Pardoe, Aberdeen; Delores Comeau, Cape Pele, N.B. Also left to mourn are grandchildren, Sonja, Samantha, and Ethan Battiste; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Jimmy, Murdock and Gordon; niece, Mary; nephews, Carl and Alexander. There will be no visitation. Graveside service will take place Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Little Narrows Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Ronald Sharpe officiating. Donations in memory of Lawrence may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh.
