PELLEY, Gladys V. - 80, Thompkinville Road, Guysborough, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital, Guysborough. Born in Guysborough, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Charlotte (Pelley) Mansfield. Gladys worked as a domestic for many years. She treasured her family and loved bingo and cards. She was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by all. Surviving are her sister, Helen Pelley, Sunnyville; brothers, Raymond, Sackville; Joseph (Marion) Mansfield, Sunnyville; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband, Herman; brothers, Walter and George; sister, Sophie. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. today and 2-9 Thursday, June 3, in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 4, in Wesley United Church, Guysborough, Rev. Leonard Oracheski officiating. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
