RYAN, Frederick John - 50, Canso, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Canso, he was a son of the late James J. and Sadie E. (Mason) Ryan. Fred was employed with Fred Green Fisheries, Canso, and was a member of Star of the Sea Parish, Canso. Surviving are brothers, Patrick (Margaret), Milton, Ont.; Bill, Antigonish; Douglas (Adele), North Carleton, P.E.I.; Gordon, Kenny, both of Bridgewater; George, Canso. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Frank, Ivan, Arthur and Joe.
Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Friday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Father Daniel Boudreau officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
