Stewart-Cormier, Barbara “Emily” – 65, Havre Boucher, it is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara “Emily” Stewart-Cormier, born August 13, 1944 and passed away, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday April 1, 2010 at the QEII Health Science Centre in Halifax. Born in Antigonish, Emily was the daughter of the late Joseph Adrian and Catherine Louise (MacDonald) Stewart of Havre Boucher. After graduating from St. Andrew Rural High School in Antigonish and getting married, Emily moved to Halifax where she resided and worked for many years. She was employed as a Telephone Operator, Waitress and a Chef. Emily with her generous heart and love for everyone will be missed by many including her two sons, Nick (Kim) Brow, Frankville and Troy (Carol) Brow, Havre Boucher, as well as her only sister, Adrianna Linklater, Frankville; brothers, Sheldon (Basia), Renfrew, ON; John, Hamilton, ON; Arthur (Linda), Linwood; Martin (Bev); James (Angela), and Angus (Andrea), all of Havre Boucher. Emily is also survived by her 3 grandchildren, Chelsea Dawn and Nikita Lynn, her Guardian Angels and Daulton Robert, her pride and joy. Emily will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. As well as her parents, Emily was predeceased by sister-in-law, Diane Stewart. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 6, from 2-9 p.m. in St. Paul's Centre, Havre Boucher. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, in St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, with Father Allan MacPhie officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Canadian Diabetic Association, Havre Boucher Community Centre or the charity of your choice.
