SNOW, Lola Mary - 87, Guysborough, formerly of Half Island Cove, died Sunday, November 7, 2004, in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in Half Island Cove, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Louise (MacDonald) Greencorn. She was a homemaker and a member of Half Island Cove Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Florence (Gerald) Bennett, Canso; stepdaughter, Ruth Richardson, Manassette Lake; sons, Clarence (Alvina), Fred (Shirley); and stepson, Lohnes (Lillian Torrey), all of Mulgrave; 29 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and 11 great great-grandchildren. Lola was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by husband, Wilfred; son, Edward Greencorn; stepson, Neil Snow; granddaughter, Andrea Snow; stepgrandchildren, Barry, Howard and Patricia Greencorn; stepdaughter, Blanche Greencorn; sisters, Nina Levangie, Daisy Williams, Eliza Snow; half-sisters, Margaret Carter, Chelsie Hendsbee, Annette Thorpe; brother, Bill; half-brothers, Bernie Scranton, Clarence Delaney, Charlie Greencorn.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today and 2-9 p.m. Tuesday, in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Half Island Cove Baptist Church, Rev. David Wheeler officiating, assisted by Rev. Daniel Boudreau. Burial in St. Vincent de Paul parish cemetery, Queensport. Donations in memory of Lola may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Church.
