WATERS, Albert Elliott "Abbie" - 67, Blues Mills, Inverness Co., died Wednesday, May 30, 2007, in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. Born in Inverness, he was a son of Georganna (Beaton) Waters, Blues Mills, and the late Cecil T. Waters. Abbie was a retired mechanic, employed with Nova Scotia Power, Sydney. He was a member of Stewart United Church, Whycocomagh, Sircom Lodge No. 66, and Blues Mills Volunteer Fire Department. He was a former member of the IBEW Union. He is survived by his wife, Tena (Matthews); son, Dougie, Blues Mills; sister, Marylee (Bobby) Morrison, Blues Mills; brother, Winston "Butch" (Frances), Sydney, and grandson, Brett. He was predeceased by a brother in infancy. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today and 2-9 p.m. Saturday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday in Stewart United Church, Rev. Donna Tourneur officiating. Burial will be in Stewartdale Cemetery. Masonic service to be held Saturday 7pm in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Central Inverness County Palliative Care Society, Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice.
