WILCOX, Charles Lee "Chipper" - 54, Lake Ainslie, Inverness Co. It is with great sadness that we inform you of the unexpected passing of Chipper, peacefully at home on Thursday, June 29, 2006. He was born October 3, 1951, in Sydney to the late Margaret Wilcox and raised by his grandparents, the late Solomon and Maude (James) Wilcox, who gave him a beautiful life and home in Whycocomagh.
Chipper was a wonderful friend to all, loved nature and its beautiful creations. He respected the environment and loved spending time with his family, friends and grandchildren. He is survived by daughters, Marie Mae, at home; Terrie Lee, Truro; Olivia (Brian MacDonald), Valley Mills; Olive, Valley Mills, and their mother, Theresa; also Elizabeth (Evan MacLean), Inverness; his only son, Bruce MacKinnon, Toronto. He is missed by his beloved grandchildren, Nikolas Charles Wilcox, Kiara Jamilee Wilcox, Tara and Steven MacDonald, Kylie, Aidan, and Lily MacLean; sisters, Ima (Reg) Royal, Dartmouth; Kay Poirier, Isle Madame; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Greta Harker, Josie Crowther.
Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Waycobah, with Father Bernie MacDonald officiating, burial at a later date. Donations in memory of Chipper may be made to a charity of choice. Dad enriched life with his beautiful presence, sadly missed, never forgotten, we love you.
