MYERS, Anna Ruth - 81, Boylston, died Monday, September 20, 2004, in High-Crest Sherbrooke Home for Special Care. Born in Boston, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Osborne Allan and Lois Adelaide (Simpson) Torrey. She was a homemaker and a member of Boylston United Church, a past president of the Bayview Senior Citizens' Club, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 81, Guysborough and an avid dart player. Surviving are daughter, Nancy Long, Roachvale; sons, Raymond, Halifax; Ralph (Debbie), Boylston; Allan (Darlene), Guysborough Intervale; sisters, Nita (Clarence) MacPhee, Carol Haywood, both of Halifax; brother, Eugene (Naomi), St. Francis Harbour; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, Harry; brothers, Ralph, Ken, Roy, and Neil. There will be no visitation. Funeral will be held on Thursday, September 23, at 11 a.m. in Boylston United Church, Rev. Leonard Oracheski officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Reception to follow in Bayview Senior Citizens' Club, Boylston. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to Guysborough Memorial Hospital or a charity of choice. Funeral is under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guyborough.
