Morgan, A.J. (Alexander James): 64, Cleveland, passed away suddenly at home on Friday November 3, 2006. Born in Cleveland, N.S., he was a son of the late Robert (Bob) Morgan and Veronica (Steele) of Cleveland. A.J. is survived by his loving wife Kaye (Peeples) Morgan; children Darryl (Wendy) Morgan of Bible Hill, Kim (Cullen) Bolger of Troy. A.J. was a loving grandfather who took great pride in telling stories about his grandchildren, Mckynlie, Kallyn, Cheltyn, and Cabot Morgan (Bible Hill) and Amanda, and Liam Bolger (Troy). A.J. worked construction as a welder at the Heavy Water Plant and Gulf Oil early in his career and later was employed at StoraEnso as well as ran his own Body Shop. A.J. is also survived by eight brothers and sisters: Gerald (Emily) Bedford; Winston (Patti), Tauton, Mass; Judy, Dorchester, Mass.;Johnnie, Cleveland; Walter, Montreal; Sharon (Kevin) Corbett, Port Hawkesbury; Roddie (Shirley) Morgan, Port Hawkesbury; Lee (Jim) Passmore, Bridgewater.
A.J. was predeceased by his brother Robert Morgan of Cleveland.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 4 from 7 – 9 p.m., Sunday, November 5, 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m., in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 6 in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury, Fr. Allan MacPhie officiating. Burial in the Parish Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation of Canada (Nova Scotia Branch).
