It is with great sadness and sympathy that we, the Brede family from Frankfurt am Main, Germany, have learned of Carol's passing. Stella, Kristiane, and Stefan always remember with joy and warmth in our hearts Carol's inimitable joyfulness and kindness of heart, her humour, her laughter, and her extraordinary wisdom of life. Our thoughts are with our friends in the MacIntosh family and we are with them in spirit during this difficult time. To Carl and family, Our hearts go out to you on the loss of Carol. She was such a loving, caring, talented and capable person. We remember her, down at the beach, tending to that gigantic pot of chowder like it was no problem at all! What a gal! We are so lucky to have known her. We dearly wish that we could join you on Saturday to celebrate her life, but, unfortunately, we are unable to do so. We will definitely be with you in spirit, and we know she will be there as well. Our love to you all, Jim and Sandy

Carl, Grant, Liz, Katy & Daniel; Stewart, Maureen & Harley; Jennifer, Danny & Ainsley; Jane & Hugh; Sarah & Jerod,; Myrtle - My heart is broken once again for a precious lady we all thought so much of, when you would see Carol she was always doing something like making bread, sewing blocks together making a quilt, getting ready for a parade, checking out her hens & the new hen house Carl had made, 'taking fire victims to her place to stay', til my Mom had to go back in hospital, driving Mom to Sydney for her treatments & stayed with her - did this for a few weeks!, no matter what she was doing if you asked her about something she might continue whatever she was doing but all the while thinking what you asked, having completed her RN's while most think about retiring. She was a 'Mom' to many more than the 'family'. Even the time she & Grant were picking cherries at Grammy Shea's, I was just below where Carol was, holding the dish so she could drop the cherries in & within seconds we could hear the tree breaking & down came the branch with Carol in it - I was worried she might be hurt - she was pregnant with Jennifer, she was ok, but worried about me cause she said 'Bonnie crumpled like a paper bag' I just had a small scratch on my cheek! - we didn't loose any cherries! Hopefully remembering some of the good & funny times will help with this loss. I will be thinking about all of you on Saturday, I guess we already know she will be watching all of you, making sure things go right! God Bless everyone! Much love XO Bonnie Peart

So deeply sorry for the loss of your wife, mother, and nanny. I knew her through her work at the hospital when I worked in the drs office and later after we were both retired and participated in water exercise at the pool in PH. We had many conversations on the drives to and from and enjoyed lunches/dinners as a water exercise friend group. Her talent amazed me as well as her keen sense for knowledge on different topics. Thinking of you all in your time of sadness. Sincerely, Patricia and Lawrence
