HENDSBEE, Seward Elwood “Bud” ? Sand Point, Guysborough Co., passed away Thursday, January 1, 2004, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Sand Point on May 21, 1923, he was the eldest son of the late Annie (Laurie) and Vernon Hendsbee. He was employed with CNR for 38 years, retiring in 1981. He is survived by his loving wife, Ann (Morgan); four stepchildren; sister, Agatha (Clayton) Digdon; brother, Ben (Beverley); several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Delbert. He was a member of St. James Anglican Church, Melford, of which he was treasurer for over 50 years. Visitation will be held in Mulgrave and Area Resting Place today from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday 2-4, 7-9 p.m. with service to be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in St. James Church, Melford, Rev. Michael Conrad officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment at a later date in St. James Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to St. James Anglican Church, Melford, N.S. BOE 2G0.
