MacKINNON, Rosa Catherine ~ Born October 3, 1925, East Lake Ainslie, Cape Breton,passed away suddenly in Alliston, Ont., on Sunday, November 30,2003. Beloved wife of the late Hector Duncan MacKinnon. Much loved mother of Lome Bruce (Elaine), Don (Marcia) and Wayne (Darlene). Will be sadly missed by grandchildren, Breton, Keegan, Ainsley and Malcolm. Daughter of the late Dan John and Minnie Margaret MacDougall. Dear sister of Josephine, Florence, Lauchlin, Ian, Ainslie, Myra, Marie and predeceased by Thomas, Margaret, Dunbar and Diane. Lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews. She lived in Etobicoke with her husband for many years until moving to Alliston in 2000 to be near her youngest son and family. Most summers were spent in her beloved Cape Breton at the lake with friends and family. She will be fondly remembered for her kind, loving ways, wonderful hospitality, her immense love for children, knitting and Cape Breton fiddle music. Resting in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home,Whycocomagh, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, December 4. Funeral service will be held11 a.m. Friday, December 5, in Alexander Grant Memorial United Church, East Lake Ainslie, Donna Tourneur officiating. Burial to follow at East Lake Ainslie Cemetery.
