Sad to hear of Merle's passing. As a kid we always loved going down to visit and as a Toronto Maple Leaf fan there was always opportunities to discuss our beloved Leafs. Merle gave me my first ever Maple Leaf Jersey in the early 60's and I still have the logo from that sweater. Condolences to the family and sending love from Christian and Peter Luddington

Dear Family: I didn't know your Dad well; only met him a couple of times when he would be visiting Shirley when she was in the hospital. I also spoke with him a couple of times when working on the Anniversary concert for the Ideal Theatre and Canso Christian Center. I appreciated the info he gave us for the concert, and I just want to express my sympathy to the family on your loss. May Almighty God comfort your hearts with His peace and love. To Merle's family, I send my heartfelt condolences. I am so sorry for your loss. As a teenager, I worked with Merle, at the theatre. He was often up for a prank, and during many horror movies, he managed to give me a scare, a time, or two, or more. He will be missed, but not forgotten.
