The Schandall family, now of Lunenburg and HRM, send sincere condolences to Mary's family and friends. We will always remember the giving kindness and generosity shown to us by Mary, and of course Harold and family, during our time of need in Canso, after the fire. My deepest sympathies to all of Mary’s family. I can’t ever remember seeing Mary without a big smile. Her presence will surely be missed. Growing up with Kevin and Brian and their “adventures,” I don’t think I’ve ever met a more tolerant lady. Ray has her partner in crime back. Small lightning storm predicted.

Mary was indeed a very special and unique lady. She was very easy to love and provide care to. Our home certainly was blessed to have her. I remember a conversation I had with her one day when I told her about a 3 piece bedroom set that we had bought many years ago from Ed Simmons (a former boss of hers at the clothing store) and how we had tossed the last bureau out to garbage just earlier this year. Her eyes were so bright the whole time I was telling her this and she had that very sweet smile on her beautiful face. I am so very sorry for your family's loss of such a special lady and my prayers are with you all during your difficult time. She is flying high now; please let this and all of the special memories you have, bring you much comfort ❤️ Jenny Keefe

May god be with you at this time. I remember the fun we had playing cards at Anne’s. I missed her and Clarence at the bean and chili supper at the church, they were always there and it was a chance for us to catch up on life. Remember her with love and the special person she was.
