My sympathies to all of you on the death of this wonderful lady. My youth was richer with her in my life. I enjoyed many overnight stays at the farm at Ainslie Point with her daughter Ann, my friend, where I learned that farming was a 24 hour a day job. She ran an efficient home and had a wonderful sense of humour as she involved you in the chores. These memories are ones I often look at again and again.
May all your memories be a blessing.

Phemie and Mom were great friends and the one and only time I attended bingo was with them (they had a few laughs that night at my expense). Phemie was such a joyful person to be around. Our deepest condolences to the family.

A kind word, a reassuring touch of the hand, a pot of tea and cookie…a woman ready to care.
Aunt Phemie was all of that and so much more.
Can’t help but think there might be a family reunion happening on the other side. Lots of hugging, laughter, a few tears and music.
We might be in different places just know that we are holding you all close.

Seeing of Phemies passing brought back fond memories of the mid 1950s when I spent time with Phemie, Neil Willie, Grammy, Ann, Marie and John Kay at North Lake Ainslie. How they treated me a family is was a wondrous thing. The last time I saw Phemie was out side Whycocomagh when I did my walk for the IWK. It was so great to see that winning smile again. My heartful condolences go to all Family members. Another star is in the Heavens. May God Bless

So very sorry to learn of Phemie's passing. As kids I remember swimming at the Lake when we visited (along with my parents Marge and Tom Haley and my Mother's sister my Aunt Lizzie and my Uncle Willie). Had lots of fun and she was so kind and welcoming even though there were so many of us Haleys. Also remember visiting her in Blues Mills and John Kay telling me not to get too close to the pigs. Now that wasn't yesterday. Rest easy kind and sweet lady. Hugs to all.

My dad, Mervin Wagner would tell so many stories about Aunt Phemie to my brother and I. His face would always light up when he talked about her. I am sure he will be waiting for her.
Sending our love

A sad farewell to an exceptional woman. She always had a huge hug and a big smile, and a kitchen overloaded with tea and goodies for anyone who came to visit her. Heaven help anyone who tried to leave her house without a box of food.
In her presence, there was a feeling of something great and kind and humble and loving, and her generosity knew no bounds. She passed these qualities on to her grandchildren, and shared in making them the precious people they are today. We will always be grateful, and we will remember her lovingly forever.
God speed, your journey is over, Phemie. Rest in peace. ❤️

To Phemie’s family:
As a little girl I remember going to North Lake with my uncles Willie and Wilfred Poirier along with my cousins Mary and Theresa. Even as a little girl I can only describe your mother as a loving, sweet, kind and always a smile for everyone caring lady. My father, Paul Poirier, would go up to your farm to help Neil Willie butcher cattle. He thought the world of your darling mother. I send your strength and courage through prayer at this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Wendy M.Poirier

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother, grandmother and mother-in-law.
Phemie has always been a part of the Fielding family. She was loved dearly by all members of our family. We feel so sad in losing Phemie - it seems to be our last connection to our Cape Breton families. She always kept us connected.
There was never a time when we called and talked to her that she wouldn't end our conversation by saying "Come and visit me and have a cup of tea and a biscuit". We often said that we wished we lived handier. Rest in peace dear Phemie.
Sincerest sympathy Layton and Joan Carter (Mary and Murray Fielding's grand daughter)

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you ... Premie’s family, extended family and friends. Words could not express our heartfelt sorrow. She will be so dearly missed. We will miss her friendship, her desire to make a cup of tea for our visits, her stories and oh her smile. She had such a warm and endearing smile. When she smiled, it wrapped you up like a great big hug! She was such a loving and caring person. Phemie was exceptionally proud of her family and her siblings. She spoke of her siblings and their life with such pride. Phemie is a true inspiration. She will remain in our hearts forever.
RIP Phemie. Enjoy a cup of tea and biscuits often with all your loved ones. Till we meet again ... we love you dearly.
