Obituary of Elaine Charlene MacKinnon

MacKinnon, Elaine Charlene – B.S.A., S.W., M.S.W.- North Bay, Ontario formerly of Ashfield, NS. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elaine MacKinnon on Monday, February 6^th, 2023, in North Bay General Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Malcolm and Eva MacKinnon, Ashfield, NS.

Left to mourn is her brother, Donald (Anne); nieces, Rhonda, Jody, Christa, Juanita; nephews, Aaron, Shamus, Nevin, D’arcy; brother-in-law, Dennis. She was predeceased by sisters, Jenny, Freda, Hughena; nephew, Keith; niece, Lynn; brother-in-law, Doug.

Elaine worked in several places with Social Services, from Peace River, Alberta to New Glasgow. She was a Program Supervisor, Ministry of Community and Social Services Northern District, Ontario.

A special thanks to her close friends, Patty and Lily, Dr. Jinnah and Nurses at North Bay Hospital.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place.

A graveside service for family and friends will take place on Saturday, July 22^nd, 2023, at 11a.m. in Stewartdale Cemetery, Whycocomagh with Rev. John Tapscott officiating.

Memorial donations in memory of Elaine may be made to Stewartdale Cemetery.
