In 1975 I moved to NL and gradually lost touch with people I grew up with in Port Hawkesbury. About 15 years ago, I was kayaking with a friend from Black Duck Brook to Blue Beach on the Port au Port Peninsula. We were hitch-hiking back to the car and Terry pulled up, and called out; "Graham Oliver ... What are you doing here? Jump in!" I hadn't seen Terry in decades and we had a grand old chat. He talked about his connection to Black Duck Brook and his love for the Port au Port. Terry was a great guy with a wide network of friends.He will be missed. My condolences to his family.

Very Sorry to learn of Terry's passing, he was a great guy, easy going, always pleasant to be around. I got to know Terry many years ago at various dances- West Bay Road, Valley Mills, Marble Mountain, the Legion and probably others too- he was a wonderful dancer, and could dance all night. Here's to more great tunes to dance away with.

I am saddened to read of Terry’s passing, it was not long ago that we spoke, I went to school with Terry and I knew his family he was always the jokester in the classroom and everyone loved his kind but evil ways, many good days we all spent together back then weather it was at school or playing cowboys and Indians at his cousins house, he will be missed by all who knew him. My sincere condolences to all his family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all in this time of great sadness.

Terry was my step dad for 5 years. He was a good man and made us feel like his own. He was there for my family when my mom passed away and kept in touch. God bless Garth and Tanya.

Terry, although i remember you & my brother Gerry hanging out when we were young, you & i never got to spend much time together. As cousins & from Nova Scotia we both went separate ways, myself joining the military in 1974 & spending most of my career in BC. Always looked forward to Terry's frequent trips to Newfoundland.He was never short of words. especially after a few ales and was a great friend.
