Obituary of Ralph Edward Izzard
Izzard, Ralph Edward – With heavy hearts we announce the passing off beloved father, grand father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend Ralph Edward Izzard.
Ralph was born in Boylston, NS to the late Burton and Mammie (Pelley) Izzard. Ralph leaves behind daughters; Marina (Lawrence), Gladys, B.C., son; Ralph (Martha), only remaining sibling beloved sister Vera, grandchildren; Martin (Jenny), Kyle Tiffany (Brenden), Brenda (Marcel), Travis (Christina), Charlene, Jessica, Daniel, Lawrence (Linda), Nancy, Jennifer, Susan, Jason and Nick. 27 great grandchildren, beloved cousin; Vera Pelley, Antigonish, chosen son; Gary Desmond, chosen brother; Blaine, special niece; Bonnie (Mike) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ralph was predeceased by his wife Anna Mae (Horne), sons; Ernie and Horatio, brothers; Leslie, Harvey and a brother in infancy, sisters; Esther, Rita, Sophie, Lola and Evelyn.
Ralph was retired from the province of Nova Scotia, working in the Department of Natural Resources and the Department of Transportation. His passion was lobster fishing which he did for 70 years. He was an avid trapper, loved playing guitar for social gatherings and old country and western music.
