Dear Rick and Kevin, Family and Friends,
It was with great sorrow that I learned of Sheila's passing via my weekly call to Hadleyville. I can honestly say that just as You, I haven't known a world that didn't have Your Mom in it. A trip to "The Homeland" wasn't complete without at least one visit with Your Mom! Sitting at her kitchen table and getting the latest "Shore Road News Update" was always a highlight of any visit! The years of kitchen visits with Your Mom "In the Day", always left one well informed and ready for the rest of one's day.
When my Mom Anne boarded with Your Mom's parents James and Nancy in Steep Creek, Your Mom would have been five years younger than Anne, who started teaching school at the age of 17. One assumes that they may have still been long time friends even if they both hadn't been drawn by their hearts from Steep Creek to Hadleyville!
This world is all the poorer with Sheila's absence, but now that she has been reunited with Your Dad, Ross shall want for nothing, just as he always did via spending his life with Your Mom. It is hoped that the support of family and friends will help ease some of the swells of sorrow that may sweep through Your hearts over the next days, weeks and years as memories of Your Mom rise to the fore. Please know that memories of Your Mom shall live on in all who had the good fortune to know her. May Sheila rest in peace. God bless.
