Barbara & extended families
Sorry to hear of Miriam's passing, she lived a fulfilled life surrounded by her loving family and her many 4 legged friends. She was a very caring lady who will be missed by many. An Angel called home, Rest in Peace Miriam.

My memories go back many years. As if there were not enough girls at home, I would be welcome to come by train from Halifax and spend summertime with my Munro cousins (2 or 3 times removed). When my family came to get me, my younger brother became a favorite of Miriam's. She was blessed with wonderful family and a zest for life.

My condolences on the loss of your beautiful Mom, grandmother and great grandmother. My father was Kennie Pringle who grew up in The Points. One stormy winter night around 1960 Mom, Daddy and I were stranded on Kelly's Mountain and somehow, in the pre cellphone days, a tow truck arrived and we ended up at your house. We were greeted with heartfelt welcomes and it was a joyous reunion for your Mom and my Dad! I expect there was a little Gaelic tossed around and I especially remember how I was so struck by your Mom and the affection between you Mom and Dad. That memory has lasted a long time. The obituary was beautiful and again my condolences. But I'll bet there's a grand reunion in heaven!

Miriam will always be a wonderful part of my childhood memories. Barb and Glennis are close to my age and we were good friends as we grew up and that friendship is strong 60+ years later.
I have wonderful memories of being a guest at the house on the hill, sharing delicious meals, having fun at sleepovers and participating in escapades with her daughters. Miriam was gentle, kind and very, very patient with our antics.
She gave me a new name - Maggie Ann! As years went on and I moved away, I was still Maggie Ann on our visits. Miriam was a very special person with her quiet patience, good humour and dedication to her family, she endeared herself to me and the entire community. She is loved will be missed by all who knew her.

I have fond memories of the Bridge games at the house in Churchview and the banter that happened during the playing as well as after.
