Obituary of Wade Clyke
Clyke, Wrenfred “Wade” of Sunnyville, Guysborough Co., 71 years of age passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023, in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in Guysborough on Aug 16, 1951, he was a son of the late Phillip David and Laura Mae (Pelley) Clyke.
Wade was a kind, respectable, considerate quiet man who would go out of his way to help someone. He loved his family. You could always count on him. He kept his word. His hearing impairment made things difficult but never deterred him.
He worked at many jobs during his lifetime. He worked in forestry, fish plant, did some mechanics, detailed vehicles, and worked as a cook.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Lee (Gerro) of Antigonish; stepson, Ralph Gerro, Monastery; brother, Lloyd; sisters, Mary Ann Skinner, and Gloria (Ronald) Ash, all of Sunnyville; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Burton, John, David, Reid, Lindsay, and brother in infancy; sisters, Mildred, and a sister in infancy.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, August 10 in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from Grace Baptist Church, Sunnyville with Pastor John Jack officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Guysborough.
