I have many fond memories of Wayne and our teen years on the Young Street boulevard. He had a good sense of humour and never cease to refer to me as Eddie's little sister. I was fortunate enough to observe his dedication to his first first born and like so many other, lost touch over the years. Rest in peace my friend.

I was Wayne’s last apprentice in the NWT. Wayne kept me safe as a young lineman and always insisted on doing the difficult more challenging tasks. I will eternally be grateful to Wayne for this as I know no other apprentice had a better teacher than I did. We miss his funny sayings like “get all your ducks in a row and then swish swish” and his straight forward approach and strong work ethic. My sincere condolences.

I first met Wayne when Judy ad I visited in 2014 at their home in Charlos Cove. He greeted me, grey hair under his Yankees ball cap, a big smile like I was an old friend. An honest, hard working direct man who would do anything for everyone he liked. I always was entertained by his stories as a linesman in the North which he would act out with embellishment and drama. Sincere condolences to Doris, Judy, David and all family and friends.

Wayne was my older cousin and although I didn't get to know him well, I'm saddened by his sudden passing. I'll always remember the family get togethers and Wayne always wore those tinted sunglasses, long hair and a big smile. He was a good guy and I'll miss him

Wayne was a great brother who I loved dearly. He was there for me at the worst of times and the good ones. For some strange reason he thought he was a better fisherman than me catching more mackerel. I will miss our card games when I would go to Charles Cove, we always had lots of laughs. You will always be in my heart

I often think of Wayne although I didn't see him often. I will always remember the night that we were all smelt fishing and he dragged me in a hurry through the back woods of Nana's house down home because the fishery officers were chasing us. What laughing we all did when we got back to the house. Fond memories. Rest in peace Wayne.
