Keeling, Benita Christene - Age 64 of Halifax formerly of Whycocomagh. Benita passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, in the Halifax Infirmary with her family by her side.

Born in Baddeck, she was a daughter of the late Bennett and Florence (Fee) Keeling.

She is survived by her children, Amanda, Donald and John; siblings, Rick (Corinne), Michael (Jesslyn) and Mark (Tanya); grandchildren, Elaina, Thomas, Fiona, Lincoln and Cayden; nephews, Sandy MacDougall, Jordan Keeling, Riley Keeling and Clayton Murphy.

Besides her parents Benita was predeceased by her grandparents, Joseph and Nellie Fee and George and Alice Keeling.

The family would like to thank the staff of 8.2 at the Halifax Infirmary for their kindness shown to Benita over her time there. A special thank you to Amy Ross for her care and compassion during Benita’s sickness.

As per Her wishes there will be no visitation and a family burial will take place at a later date when all her family can be together. Memorial donations can be made to the ROC Society or a charity of your choice.
