My deepest sympathy to Leo and all of Claire’s family. Claire was a close friend of my Mom’s (the late Shirley Bouchie). They had great visits and chats on the phone. It brings comfort to know they will be reunited again. To Leo and family, take comfort in the many wonderful memories you have of her. God bless!

My sincere condolences to all of Claire’s family.
I first met Claire back in 1960 when we started our training days at St Rita school of Nursing. In our second year 4 of us were moved from the Nurse’s residence to a private home where we shared 2 bedrooms with a lovely young family. This was when I got to really know Claire and formed a friendship that spanned over 60 years.. She was the prankster who never failed to give us reason for a good laugh after a hard day or a difficult exam . Yet , she was the most efficient, ,compassionate ,loving nurse that you would ever meet. Right up until the disease took over some of her abilities ,she attended all of our class reunions, every five years since graduation. I am sure she enjoyed them all as much as we enjoyed having her . The class of 1963 will sure miss her . Lovingly, Elaine MacLellan.
Fly high with the angels dear friend.

To the Family of Claire:
So very sorry for the loss of your dear family member. I knew her since high school, connected with her in Halifax and in later years when Bev, Barbara and I would go to St. Peters for a week, Claire hung out with us as well. Loved her like a sister. May God give you all strength, peace and love during this difficult time and always!

Claire will be forever in our hearts and memories. There are so many great memories. Being married to her eldest son, A.G., Claire welcomed me to the family with open arms. Her and Leo opened their home in St. Peter's for our wedding. So many laughs, tears, and cups of tea shared around her kitchen table. Claire leaves an amazing legacy of all the lives she touched. Rest in Peace Claire. Love you, Val

Dear Shannon, A.G., Dana, Brendan and families,
I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom. What a fabulous person. Your mom had a significant impact on me during my formative teen years when I would skip across the street to visit the MacRae house. Your mom always greeted me with a friendly 'Come on in!' She always seemed to be in a good mood and was usually humming or singing.
Please know that we are thinking of you all at this time. Claire will be missed.
Big hugs to you all.

I have many fond memories of Claire throughout my life. She was a dear friend to our mom Barbara. We had a great time whenever our families were able to get together, including a visit to Boston.
She gave the best hugs, and she had the best laugh/ giggles.
Leo took such great care of her. She was lucky to have him
