Irene “Bo” Ramonda MacIntyre
October 5, 1951 - April 15, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of Irene “Bo” Ramonda MacIntyre who passed away peacefully at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital on Monday, April 15, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones.
Bo was born on October 5, 1951 to the late Pat and Estelle MacIntyre of Point Tupper, NS. She was the tenth of eleven siblings.
In her younger years she enjoyed bowling, playing darts and socializing at R.C.L Branch #43 where she was a member for many years. She also loved to dance and sing and enjoy a good house party.
Bo is survived by her son Michael and her grandson Cohen, who was her pride and joy. She is survived by her sister, Maureen (Albert) Bourgeois, Port Hawkesbury, NS, brother, Fred “Bugs” (Jean), Antigonish, NS, brother-in-law, Ivan Hamill, Mississauga, ON, sisters-in-law, Joan MacIntyre, Port Hawkesbury, NS, Adelle Bates, Truro, NS, Sharon MacIntyre, Little Dover, NS, Brenda MacDonnell, Port Hastings, NS. Life long special friend, Allan Jackson and best friend, Deanie Dorey, Hamilton, ON. She will be dearly missed by numerous nieces and nephews she leaves behind.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her stepmother, Robina “Vinie” MacIntyre, her brothers and their wives, Peter (Alice), Wayne, Terry (Mariliane), Clifford (Joan), Allan, Michael “Bud”, Ray MacIntyre; sister, Dianne Hamill; brother-in-law, Ray Bourgeois; sisters-in-law, Kaye MacIntyre and Vesta Wadden.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation and service will be held in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, 724 Granville St., Port Hawkesbury on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 4:15 p.m. officiated by Deacon Berkley Guthro. A celebration of life will take place following the service at R.C.L. Branch #43, everyone is welcome.
