While waiting for my chiropractor appointment in Dec. 2006 I had a conversation with a lovely lady. (When I saw this obit picture I believe it was Jeanette.) I told her I must deliver Christmas presents over an hour away & get back to Port Hawkesbury before the oncoming storm. She immediately insisted we switch appointments and I see the Dr. first. I will never forget her thoughtfulness, kindness and concern. Sending condolences & prayers to all family members.

My heart is absolutely broken. Jeannette was truly a one of a kind human with a heart that loved everyone she met. I got the pleasure of getting to know Jeannette while working at MacIsaac's Variey, she would come in pretty well every Friday during my shift either on her way or on the way back from getting her hair done. We would laugh and talk about anything and everything, but when she talked about Her family, the light in her eyes would shine the brightest I've ever seen. Jeannette had a kind soul and will be forever missed. My heart is with Her Family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Lorna informed me of Jeanette’s passing and it made my heart so sad.The Gagnon family have been so connected to the Collie Sandies right from when Katie Belle was the midwife for our younger sister, Doreen’s birth. We were treated like family by everyone. I remember Jeanette coming to the apartment when we lived in West Bay Road. She was one of the happiest and funny people I knew.Even with their age difference she and my Mother had a deep and lasting friendship.I have so many memories of days gone by- far too many to mention here. May the love and support of family and friends be a lasting comfort to you.
