JAMIESON, H. Francis - passed away peacefully in the Guysborough Memorial Hospital in Guysborough, with his family by his side on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, after a 9 month battle with leukemia. He was 53 years old. Francis was born on March 16, 1971 in Antigonish to Mabel and Aubrey Jamieson.
He was predeceased by his mother Mabel, who adored her precious baby boy and mother-in-law, Maxine Dobson. Francis is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Carrie Beth (Dobson); his father, Aubrey; his siblings, Anna (Brian Williams), Elizabeth (Eric George), Dean (Kim Casey) and Roberta (George Van Caeyzeele); his father-in-law, Basil Dobson and sister-in-law, Cheryl Dobson. Francis loved and was so proud of his 12 nieces and nephews (Lynn, Jason, Breanna, Palmer, Darren, Chad, Paige, Preston, Skylar, Dustin and his special nephews Brent and Shawn), 15 great nieces and nephews (Kayla, Bethany, Noah, Bailey, Jake, Jack, Jessie, Denver, Conor, Wyatt, Waylon, "Little" Margaret, Kinsley, Georgia and Bennett) and 3 great-great nieces and nephews (Paisley, Sawyer and Charlie).
Those who knew Francis, knows how much he loved to talk. He would strike a conversation with anyone and everyone who was willing to listen. He made many friends in many places. Francis had many jobs driving truck and made many many friends along the way. You could also see him in the plow truck driving around Canso making sure all roads were cleared during the winter months. We will miss him dearly, especially Dad, waiting for his nightly phone calls, which he did every single night for years. He missed Mom terribly and now the two of them are resting together.
