It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Eldron Sherman Ingraham at home on Sunday, September 29, 2024, after a five year battle with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH).
Eldron is survived by his loving wife, Susan (Long); his devoted and adoring children, Lorraine Ann (Rich), Calgary, AB; Trevor (Gel) Ingraham, PEI; his precious grandchildren, Michael, Zachary, Christopher, Calvin and Lawson. His dear sisters, Marilyn (Floyd), Elaine (Leonard) and Anne; borthers and sisters in law, William (Colleen), Deborah Long, Terrence (Mary) and Cathy (late Mike MacDonald),many nieces, nephews and cousins who were dear to his heart. He was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Lillian (Carmichael) Ingraham; sister, Sharon in infancy.
Born and raised in Margaree, Eldron worked as a logger in his younger days and a truck driver until his retirement. An avid sports lover, he played sports and enjoyed watching his son and grandsons athletic achievements. He will be fondly remembered for his undying faith in the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays, his infectious hearty laugh, his profound love for his family, enjoying a cold beer and travelling down south with Susan and finding a love for new experiences.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, October 4 in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 7 at 1 p.m. from Wilson United Church, Margaree Centre with Rev. Alicia Cox officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
And now, I'm glad I didn't know
the way it all would end, the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance
I could've missed the pain, but I would have
had to miss the dance.
