Dear Bobbi Rene, Robert called me last night to tell me of your Dad's passing. I did not know him, but I know you and that tells me a lot about him. A sense of humour, courage, and love do not happen by accident but are instilled when a person is growing up. Clearly he made a great difference in your life as in the lives of others, including your mother, your husband, you and your daughter. Someone once wrote that no one is truly dead if he is remembered. Bobby will live on for a very long time. Remember the good times, the hard times when he was there for you, and especially just the ordinary times, playing cards, having supper, driving in the car. These memories are precious beyond measure. Tell your daughter stories of him so her memories will never be forgotten. I suspect the last few days have gone by in somewhat of a blur- so many things to do, so many things to help arrange. Soon life will sweep you up again, and there will be times when the grief will hit you hard. Remember that all of your family and his friends will be there for you. In the end Bobby loved and was loved and there is nothing more out of life any one can ask. With all my love, your Uncle Grant.
