The last ten years of Dad’s life have been challenging due to his age and the illness. He stayed to help Norma raise Chantel and Noel, they helped him get through the last few years. To Norma, Noel and Chantel for this we thank you.

Noel spent many years in We’koqma’q not only creating a home and a family, he also was creating a community.
He was a former Band Councillor, Fire Fighter, a Keptin in grand council, a member of the Church Committee, MACS program, and recognized by the Governor General for his service. He held certification as a carpenter, welder, pipe fitter and crafts person. Noel was very well known and sought after as a carpenter and builder in Canada and the United States. Noel built many homes, our church, the We’koqma’q Family Healing Center, designed and made all items in the church (pews, alter, tabernacle, pulpit). Constructed to last with love.
Together Noel and Pauline were able to conquer anything. Raising Children during the Centralization era, moving to Boston to raise their family and work. His career took him various places including Sarnia, Boston and New York, creating a network of dear friends no matter where he went, many called him Uncle, or Granddad.
