We were both sadden to hear of Annabelle's passing. We have always considered her a friend from the first time we met her after moving to Guysborough. She was a genuine lady who put other before herself. Although we didn't visit that often she always seemed delighted to see us. We know that she will be deeply missed but may you be comforted when recalling all the loving memories you have of her. To the Long family: My condolences for the passing of your loved one, Annabelle. This past fall I was priviledged to sit with her in her home and talk of past times in Guysborough and some O'Connor family history. I was so looking forward to another planned visit with Annabelle this coming summer with pictures that Annabelle said she would dearly love to share with us (my sister Eleanor and cousin Mary). However, what is not to be is sad, after reading her obituary I know that she is happy and with those she grieved for over such a long period of time. I may not make it down to see you all (Kaylie has exams)but know how much you all will be in my thoughts. Your home was a place I loved to visit when I was growing up, always pleasant conversation, the best biscuits and a warm fire to warm your toes (bum mostly) I loved her laugh, her sense off "fun" was always present:) I remember when we would all walk together around the shore road (Mom, Annabelle, Carmel and myself) and on one very hot day, your Mom was lifting her sweater to cool down and Carmel commented that she was able to see her bra, that she was lifting it too high...and with that comment, your Mom swiftly removed her sweater and threw it in the bushes and had to jump into the bushes herself as a car suddenly approached :) Love and hugs to you all!
