Dearest Sharon, Sean, Heather, Samantha and Robert: I'm so sorry for loss. Though Betty and I didn't spend a lot of time together, I truly loved her instantly when we met. Her affectionate presence with you through all of her last years will surely leave an indelible impression on your children. Sharon, you and your mother and Sean provided a home always full of love.
I regret not getting down today but hope we do get together before too long.
With much love, Dawn

Sincere sympathy to Bette's family. A long time ago we were neighbours in Port Hawkesbury. Bette's family moved into the apartment where we used to live before we moved across the street and little up the hill, onto Pitt Street. I recall that some of her brothers (especially Chip & Billy) and us Lamey kids of an age could get into some trouble.
Peace & Love
Joanne (Lamey)

I have so many fond memories of your Mom, Sharon. Condolences to all your family. I got to know Betty through the Fire Ladies in Baddeck……we worked hard but had a lot of fun too! Whenever she came to visit Pat, I tried to see her. She certainly enjoyed watching the Academy Awards with Pat! I was also the recipient of some of her beautiful cards……she was so talented! Sharon & Sean, may the memories that were created over the years comfort you at this time. She spoke highly of you & all the grandkids. You were so good to her❤️ Take care of yourselves.

I visited the Reid’s house very frequently from my childhood to my early 20s. Bette always welcomed me there like I was one of her own family members. She was so kind to me and to my (now) husband Jonny, always entertaining us and making us laugh. She was a one of a kind lady. I will always remember her with a smile and a warmth in my heart. My deepest condolences to her family and loved ones.

Q: Describe where Florence worked and what they did
A: I was a kid and worked with Bette in the 70's at Sears, I will always remember her as a woman who smoked Players unfiltered. She was a total delightful woman back then and there are few of us originals left. My condolences to her family,

The Boers family have always had a special place in their hearts for Betty. Elly and Betty had a special friendship from Sears days. We always kept in touch through messenger and occasionally at special occasions. She will definitely be missed by us all.❤️
