I have never met Fulton's family, but he talked of you often, especially the grandchildren. I was also a Supervisor in the Courts Division in Sydney and had many occasions to be with Fulton at meetings and trainings. His humor was the delight of all the meetings.
I know he will be greatly missed. It is great that he has left behind his humor and kindness to carry on his memory. Condolences to you all.

My sincere condolences to Ruth, Darryl, Jeff and family. I was proud to know Fulton as a friend and colleague at the beginning of our respective social service careers. Fulton was tireless in his work and he was always an advocate for the children, youth and families on his caseload. Fulton had incredible emotional intelligence. His intuition was so acute it was like he could look right inside you. Fulton taught me so much about human behaviour. He wore his sense of humour effortlessly, it was just always present. His family was his anchor and he gave so much back to his community. I can't help but smile every time I think about the experiences and laughter that we shared during those years.

Our coldolences to Ruth, Daryl and Jeff. My treasured memories with Fulton were mainly on the tennis court but they apply to many life siutations. With Fulton there was only one way to play and that was full out. He always encouraged me and I valued that. He was more that just a competitor, he was my friend.

Dear Ruthie, Daryl, and Jeffrey,
My heart breaks for your loss. Fulton was the best uncle! I just had to look at him and I would laugh..and I think he liked that because he wouldn't stop! To lose someone like Fulton, who gave so much of himself to others makes no sense. But I know that he's with my Mom (and of course Ian) laughing and having the greatest chat because that's what they always did - she loved him so much. I can't make it for the funeral but I will say a special prayer for him and for you all as you move on with his presence in your hearts.

I have only wonderful memories of Fulton. He was joyful, soulful and inquisitive, honest, most times silly, sarcastic and witty too, and brought the energy up in every room he stepped in to. Fulton brought my mum and dad (Pauline and Bob Mesher) immense comfort, support, advice and fun times (including laughing headaches!) and will be very sadly missed by all. I was saddened to learn of Fulton's passing. Aside from knowing him from growing up in New Waterford, our paths crossed again as we both ended our careers doing social work in Port Hawkesbury. Fulton was a one of a kind individual- a wonderful sense of humour that created memories lasting over many family holidays. Always enjoyed seeing him at holidays or various visits in Port Hastings-- Also had a love of tennis that was rivalled by few around. He will be deeply missed by many.

Fulton,
You truly were one of a kind. You always read the room and had the profound ability to make people laugh. I rarely knew if you were serious or joking; both seemed to make me laugh. You were a great dad. Never missed a hockey game, a tennis match, or a chance to call them a ninny. I have not seen you loose a game of crib…or do the dishes. Besides being hilarious, you had a really caring side. You took care of those you loved, and you always went the extra mile to help them through life’s obstacles- without judgement. I could list all of the times you were there for me and supported me, but instead - I’ll share this memory that will always hold space in my brain… ;)
Wrapping yourself in Saran Wrap is never going to stop you from sweating. A visual I will never forget…
