Obituary of Elizabeth Opal Leet

LEET, Elizabeth "Opal" - sadly passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at her home in Guysborough, in her 87th year. Born in Guysborough on October 3, 1936, she moved to Toronto in her 20's and soon gave birth to her only child, David Leet.

After working for close to 30 years at Canadian General Electric and raising her son David, she retired and moved back to Guysborough, where she remained until her passing. She loved and was loved by many friends and neighbors she grew up with in Guysborough and in Toronto. David and Opal remained very close over the years with the blessed bond of Mother and Son.

Cremation has taken place. Funeral mass will be on Monday, January 22 at 11 a.m. from St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Guysborough with Father Godwin Kalu officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
