I would like to express my sincere condolences to Stephanie and the family. As a young boy I lived right across the harbour from Harry and when I'd see the Langley boys gathering to play ball in the field by their house, I'd run over and get in the game. I have many fond memories of playing with Harry down at his grandfather's shipyard in Point Tupper. Harry always had a smile and a wave for a large circle of friends and he will be certainly be missed. May be R.I.P. (Graham Oliver, Kippens, NL)

I remember when Heather was in St. Martha’s Hospital she had another bowel obstruction it was in December 2018! Harry came in & he was asking how she was doing & then he took his cell phone out and called Stephanie & we all got to talk to her!

Dear Stephanie and family,
I just heard of Harry's death, which of course is a great loss to you and all the family. How many times have I visited with both of you when the children were young and I was a worker with you at Family Service of Eastern Nova Scotia. I always admired Harry for who he was as a loving husband and father and friend.
Unfortunately we lost touch with each other over the years.
I will be away Friday and Saturday and will not be able to see you in person, however know Steph that you remain in my heart and prayer.

Stephanie, Nicolle, Jason (Krista), Cali, Jorja, John David & Arthur, I send you my deepest sympathy. Your loss is great as Harry had a unique disposition. (My brother died suddenly of heart attack at age 45 in 1983. Harry's mother, Mom's only sibling, was in hospital with heart attack & John D. with his foot. All my siblings lived elsewhere. It was Martin & Harry who were somehow able to calm Mom in her heartbreak that evening. I will never forget their help along with Arthur's.) I am saddened for you all as Harry truly loved family. To all the Langley family & friends,
I am deeply saddened to hear of Harry's passing.
I first met, and worked under his direction 18 years ago when I moved to Cape Breton.
His first words to me was "no need to panic, we don't move", referring to the Canal.
He was my mentor at at work with our Union Local 80824. And even though I was the first woman operator-he immediately took me under his wing. For his mentorship, humour & friendship I am forever grateful. He was a giant among men, a true light in this world. I quote him often and share his teachings.

On behalf of myself , my wife Linda and our 3 boys Alexander , Stewart and Brendan we send our thoughts and sympathy to Stephanie, Nicolle, Jason and all Harry's family, most especially to our neighbors John and Arthur Langley with news of Harry's passing.
Harry was truly a kind and genuine man who always had extra time for our children as they grew up on South Granville Street. He also never once failed to have a comment (or two) for me as he passed by me in the yard.
Harry was a valued friend of my parents in the years pastas well, I hope they will all get together for coffee now.
